Edward C. had to say...I am a retired army officer (infantry/field artillery) and a retired college librarian. I also taught children's literature. I have been an avid reader since my early childhood. I enjoy all history and historical fiction, most science & fantasy fiction, and some mystery's such as those written by the likes of Tony Hillerman ( Navajo Detectives), Colin Dexter (Morse), Dick Francis and more recently Ian Rankin (inspector Rebus), Charles Todd (inspector Rutledge), Michael Connelly (Harry Bosch), Elizabeth George ( Lynley & Havers). I usually have three books going at once; one to read while I'm am out and around at Drs. offices, or shopping with mama etc. another, usually a more serious/intellectual/informational title and always a a fun read. I also read the Atlanta Journal Constitution and Christian Science monitor every day. We moved to theAtlanta area in 2005 and live across the street from my son and his family. I get to buy and read a lot of children's book to my 5 & 7 year old grandaughters and their school class. If you recognize my image, then you know that I collect"Folio" Books. Isn't this a great club! |
